3 Doors Down is an American hard rock band from Escatawpa, Mississippi, formed in 1996. The band consists of Brad Arnold (vocals), Matt Roberts (guitars), Todd Harrell (bass), Chris Henderson (guitar), and Greg Upchurch (drums/percussion). The band often performs more than 300 concerts a year and have also performed with other artists such as Lynyrd Skynyrd, Megadeth, Staind, Nickelback, Alter Bridge, Breaking Benjamin, Seether, Shinedown and Daughtry. Since the start of their career, 3 Doors Down has sold over 16 million albums worldwide.

"It's Not My Time" is the first official single from the self-titled fourth studio album by rock band 3 Doors Down. A minute and a half preview of the song is currently available on the band's MySpace page, with the full song having appeared on the internet. The song was digitally released to iTunes on February 19, 2008. An acoustic version was also available on iTunes as a pre-order. It was recorded in Tokyo. Frontman Brad Arnold told Songfacts: "It's a song about "being resilient, going against the grain and going against the world when the world's trying to push you down, or take you out (one such example is a friend of the band, Tony Tristani Friends of Tony, Inc.)."

3 Doors Down is an album by American rock band 3 Doors Down, released on May 20, 2008. It is the band's fourth studio album."It's Not My Time" was the first single from the album and was released in February 2008. It can be heard on the band's MySpace site. Another song on the album, "Citizen/Soldier" was released in 2007 as a tribute to the National Guard. The album became the band's second consecutive #1 album on the Billboard 200, debuting at #1 with first week sales of 154,000. As of February 2009 it has sold 705,815 copies in the U.S, and is certified Gold by the RIAA.

It was originally intended for the film Spider-Man 2 but withheld. The song also plays in the background during the 'Blank' episode of season 4 in the TV show Smallvile.

It is 3 Doors Down's first album in the three years since 2002's Away from the Sun. It topped the chart on the Billboard 200 soon after it was released. Bob Seger sings a duet with lead singer, Brad Arnold, on the song "Landing in London".

It peaked at number five on the Billboard Hot 100 for the week ending November 8, 2003. Only their songs "Kryptonite" and "When I'm Gone" reached higher positions on the chart. It has since been certified Platinum in the United States and Australia.
It was featured in the film Goal! 2: Living the Dream.... WWE used the song in a tribute video for Eddie Guerrero when he died from a heart attack in November 2005.

Away from the Sun is the second studio album by 3 Doors Down, released on November 12, 2002. The singles released for the album were as follows: "When I'm Gone", "The Road I'm On", "Here Without You", and "Away from the Sun". Rush guitarist Alex Lifeson produced three songs for the record: "Dangerous Game," "Dead Love," and "Wasted Me." Lifeson also performed on one of the tracks as well as performing live with the band during their premiere party in Biloxi for Away from the Sun. The album has sold 4 million copies worldwide.

"Be Like That" is the fourth single release by the American alternative rock band 3 Doors Down. It peaked at #24 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in the U.S. for the week ending November 10, 2001. An alternate version of the song was made, for American Pie 2. The American Pie 2 version had minor lyric changes. A video was also made for this version.
Brad recently stated that Be Like That is about following your dreams, as well as a little bit about missing out on dreams and regretting it.
